KINSHIP SINGERS YOUTH CIRCLES
Kinship Singers Youth Circles connect young people from the larger Damascus community to each other and to older generations to grow, learn, and experience music together.
Announcing Kinship Singers Youth Circles
Short-term opportunities for youth to sing and make music together and/or with Kinship Singers and other community partners
Networking time to build friendships and encourage collaboration
A variety of repertoire and singing styles will be covered
A musicianship topic will be explored each session
Song interpretation, staging, and movement will be shaped collectively
Open to upper elementary, middle, and high school singers of all experience levels
No audition required
Small groups will form within each session to give everyone relevant experience and customized engagement, including solos and leadership opportunities
2026 INAUGURAL SESSION DETAILS
Sundays at 3 pm in Damascus, MD: February 1, 8, 15, and 22 and March 1, 8, 15, and 22
Music for this session includes “A Little More Homework” from 13 The Musical and opportunities to play percussion instruments and sing in parts - the musicianship topic is rhythm/keeping time.
The session culminates in a performance of the In Due Season Signature Concert with the Kinship Singers on Sunday, March 22, at 3 pm.
Participation is available to all interested youth, and there is not a required registration fee. Youth Circles are sustained by the voluntary gifts of participants and/or their families. Financial gifts can be sent via Venmo @GivingVoiceProject at any time during the session and checks can be made payable to Giving Voice Project.
